Young volunteers help Seal the Deal! in Kenya
United in the Seal the Deal! call to work towards protecting our planet from a climate
change precipice, 12 young Kenyan converged at the UNEP Headquarters from 9th
to 12th November 2009 to
enter thousands of collected signatures into the online petition.
Drawn from the Wildlife Club of Kenya, Inter-Varsity
Environment Network, Africa Youth Initiative on Climate Change and local
universities, all of whom are our invaluable partners, the volunteers have helped
key in close to 8,000 signatures from concerned citizens
without internet access.
The petitions were collected from schools, colleges, universities and communities across the African continent, and also collected from Seal the Deal! earlier related events.
