Cap the Gap in Kolkata, India
Residents from India’s third-largest metropolitan area, Kolkata, via Banglanatak.com organized a Seal the Deal! event under the slogan “Cap the Gap”. The Indian organization hosted an event with a variety of activities such as a climate walk, different seminars about climate change and diverse cultural events. The successful campaign which was covered by the local media, involved 1200 students of 40 schools, colleges, artists, singers, tribal people, NGOs as well as governmental organizations and encouraged people in Kolkata to support the Seal the Deal! petition. 
With 16% of world population and 4.5% of the global Greenhouse Gas emissions worldwide, India is a key player during the climate summit in Copenhagen.
